Turquoise Pipes, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I believe that every person has the ability to reach to their fullest potential in life with the right support network and guidance. I have a broad range of counseling experience working with young children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to assist clients who are interested in establishing better communication skills, have a desire to build healthier relationships, and want to learn positive strategies when dealing with life's day to day challenges.
I am also skilled in Play Therapy working with children as young as 3 years old. I have experience working with children with intellectual disabilities and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. My goal is to improve quality of life for the parents as well as the child and administer interventions that will diminish behaviors that interfere with the child's ability to succeed. I believe in holistically treating the whole person by bringing healthy balance and peace back to the mind and body. I practice active listening, as well as a nonjudgmental stance that provides a safe place for healing, self-discovery, and empowerment to take place. I am dedicated to developing the necessary tools with each client to reach their goals.
I completed my Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology, and my Bachelors in Applied Studies with a concentration in Psychology and Family Studies at Abilene Christian University. I am a certified Master trainer in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills (ASIST), and trained in ASK about Suicide. Please feel free to reach me by email or phone at Grace Counseling Center in Fort Worth to book your session.
